Pentené Milner is a mother, blogger, influencer, stylist and all around lifer. She started Style Me Fancy by Pentené in 2016 (a style and lifestyle blog) initially to brand herself as a stylist, but quickly turned it into a place for inspiring women to find a sense of empowerment in their personal style. And a perfect way for her to use her B.A. in Communication she earned from Cal State Northridge. She’s a native of San Diego, California, but made Los Angeles her home in 2002. Growing up in an urban neighborhood and relocating to a suburban, gave her the best of both world views. She enjoys being mom to her tween son, city life, fun with family (and friends that are like family), seeing the world, dressing up, dining, a winery and self caring at a spa. To her, as a former singer, music brings everything to light and many times writes while listening to it.
Seeing herself as a wardrobe healer is something she prides herself in after experiencing a tumultuous divorce from her spouse. That’s when she begin to reshape how she looked at style. She learned how much your style can be used to motivate you and make you feel good no matter the circumstances you face. She believes that the transformations in life are the very moments you should take advantage of evolving. Her stance on empowering women to become better versions of themselves is rooted into what she speaks about and does.
Also, Pentené is co-founder of a group called Melanin Movement Los Angeles. It was created to build a foundation for women of color to encourage community over competition. They are a group of bloggers and women in business that discover ways to give back to the community in style. Each of the ladies volunteer their time to non-profit organizations to assist in their efforts to better the environment around them. Believing that we are all here to be a blessing to others is an even greater reason why she loves being apart of a group that has made that their mission. She especially loves working with women owned organizations.
Pentené loves showing the fundamentals of style through each of her fun, idealistic and creative wardrobe looks. Creating a space that women can come and learn ways to personify their own style (and what it takes to be able to articulate it) has been the best experience. Her perspective is that there are many positive affects style has on an individuals day to day livelihood. Hoping that her readers can take a way from the experience and to be inspired about all of life’s wonders.
She offers a personal wardrobe styling service in Los Angeles (and virtually) and assists clients in choosing the wardrobe that represents their personal style for any occasion. Her clients will benefit from the service as it’s designed to help them develop skills in style, image and appearance to last a lifetime. She shows you how you can heal through style.
