Spring Style Chronicles: Floral Long Sleeve + Faux Leather Shorts

Floral Long Sleeve + Faux Leather Shorts

It’s heeere! Spring that is. It’s my fave, fave and birth season after all – so what’s not for me to love. It’s also the season of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, resurrection and regrowth. All the R’s of positive change and upward movement (it’s not called spring cleaning for nothing). Since the weather in the spring can be a bit inconstant with different variations of temperatures throughout the day, we experience what I’m gonna call, spring style chronicles. So behold a solution to your spring style and a how to dress for spring weather run down.

The weather can be a bit tricky in the spring. One minute it can be warm and cool the next. The weather can switch up on you in an instant as soon as the sun starts to shift its position in the blue skies. While we can’t control what the weather chooses to do, we can control how we dress for it.

Take for instance my featured outfit on this post – a floral printed long sleeve blouse with tie waist and black faux leather shorts with an attached wrap belt. Let me point out real quick how much I’m a little obsessed with floral styles this season. They are EVERYWHERE and I am loving it. It SCREAMS spring! OKAY now back to what I was saying – I think the long sleeve and shorts create a perfect weather safe balance between the two of these wardrobe pieces. The blouse got me covered when the weather temp drops and the shorts got me covered while its warm. I can also roll up the sleeves if it’s too warm and roll them back down when in need of protection when the temp drops.

For this look I went with delicate and simple jewelry since the floral printed top is busy and I wanted to keep the attention on the floral pattern, but at the same time give the whole look some pizzazz. The gold tone earring studs were a cute touch and went perfect with the top since they are in the shape of leaves. My transitional tote handbag was a gift from my beautiful mother and helped dress up my look. Not to mention my faux fur pom heels are the cutest match up and helps complete my entire look.
