Valentine’s Day and Self-Care: An OMG Mask Kit Edition

Valentine’s Day and Self-Care: An OMG Mask Kit Edition

Happy Valentine’s day beautiful! This post is dedicated to my girls that are without someone special on this Valentine’s day. I don’t want you to feel alone because you are without a Valentine, instead I want you to embrace it with me by loving on yourself for a change with some self-care. As you now know (because of the mention in previous posts), I’m going through a divorce so self-care on Valentine’s day is going to be something new for me. Last year I spent it celebrating with my forever Valentine, my son, and this year I plan to shower myself by doing something special for me.

On my self-care to do list this Valentine’s will be an in-home spa experience using the 2 in 1 OMG Mask Kit. I’m loving the OMG Mask kit because it’s easy to apply and my skin feels amazing afterwards. It’s the perfect way to relax and unwind, especially after a long day or week. The OMG Mask is currently my go to beauty self-care routine. I’m going to share with you a two step OMG Mask application to achieve a day of self-care (even if its not on Valentine’s or maybe you’ll try it on the next) and beautiful facial glow.

To get started with the very first step of the mask application, I slipped on the OMG hair band created to keep strands away from your face and to protect your hair when applying the mask. It’s also great for applying all skincare and makeup essentials. It’s soft and comfortable around my head.

Now I’m ready to apply step one of the kit, the detox bubbling mask. I’m ripping the end of the package to an open so you can see what it looks like before its rubbed and placed on my face. Luckily, the mask is all ready to go and bubbling as soon as you pull it out of the package.

Once I removed the mask, I begin unfolding it carefully since it was wet. The mask has the holes ready for you to insert your eyes, nose and mouth. I used the holes to easily guide the mask’s placement on my face.

To help with the mask’s application, I looked into a mirror to make sure that the mask was being properly placed. I made some adjustments to make sure that my full face was being covered and rubbed it into place.

The detox bubbling mask is going to cleanse and detoxify my face with natural ingredients while removing dead skin. I let it sit for three minutes while it generated an overload of bubbles which removes dead skin. Here I was trying to wipe some of the bubbles off which didn’t seem to work, lol. But they were working their magic.

After removing the mask and doing a quick face rinse with water, it was time to move on to step two, the microfiber mask. I just did a pat dry with a face towel before the application. I’m repeating what I did when I applied the detox bubbling mask. To reiterate – I opened the package, removed the microfiber mask, unfolded the mask and positioned the mask on my face before rubbing it into place. Here I’m showing you just how I did it.

I left the microfiber mask on for about 20 minutes (you can leave it on 15-20 minutes) and relaxed in a warm bath in the meantime. I wanted to leave it on for the longest time possible so my skin could absorb all those nutrients. It fed my skin various nutrients, hydrolyzed collagen and plant-based stem cells. This mask is designed to give your skin a healthier and younger looking glow.

Now for the final reveal…

I love how I felt and looked after my in-home spa experience using the OMG Mask 2 in 1 Kit from Double Dare Spa. Hopefully you’ll try it too and see how amazing your skin feels after.

What did you think of the two step mask application process? Do you think you would want to try the OMG Mask kits as a beauty self-care regimen? How are (or did) you spending Valentine’s?
